Physician (Chief of Emergency Medicine)
The Chief of Emergency Medicine has programmatic authority over and responsibility for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VA GLA) Department of Emergency Medicine. The Emergency department provides immediate treatment for serious, life-threatening health emergencies such as severe chest pain, seizures, heavy uncontrollable bleeding or moderate to severe burns. To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
