Position Summary

This position oversees the collection activity for an assigned segment of the Accounts Receivable and performs collection duties in accordance with established federal and state regulations.

Education

• Associate`s degree in healthcare, business, or closely related field, OR equivalent work experience. (Required)

Experience

• Two (2) years of experience with collection activity and reduction in accounts receivable in a healthcare setting. (Required)
• Experience with AHCCCS billing laws and regulations, third-party and managed care payer billing requirements, registration, verification and centralized computer systems. (Preferred)
• Experience with medical terminology and HIPPA (Preferred)

Certifications

• Credentialed Revenue Cycle Representative (Preferred)
• Certified Patient Account Representative (Preferred)

Special Skills

• Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task. (Required)
• Strong MS Office skills with a focus on Excel (Required)
• Follow any payer or governmental requirement as required by the organization. (Required)
