Overview

St. Luke's is recruiting for a Registered Nurse to join us in our strategy to be the community's trusted partner in providing exceptional, patient- centered care. The Nampa team needs someone to work in PreOp, Post-op and PACU. PreOp has 18 bays for pre-op and phase 2 recovery. Pre-op is a medical/surgical unit specialized in preparing surgical patients for surgery. It is a fast-paced environment requiring the art of customer service, efficiency, and team work to safely prepare patients of all ages for surgery. PACU is a specialized area for patients to recover from anesthesia. The PACU is considered a critical care unit with 9 recovery bays. The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs.

Schedule: Flex .2 FTE (20 hours per pay period) Monday - Friday 2 (10) hour shifts per pay period- varied days based on the surgery schedule. The position requires taking occasional night, holiday and weekend call.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manages care of patients.
• Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
• Experience: 1+ years RN in PreOp, PACU and or critical care highly preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
