Atlantic Health System is currently seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Clinician for the Department of Psychiatry to work 10a-6p at Morristown Medical Center.

Job Function: 02. Completes initial and follow-up sessions, supervision and collateral contact documentation accurately and within the established timeline. Demonstrates clarity and accuracy of clinical details. Identify, document and provide a plan to mitigate specific safety issues (medical needs impacting care, suicidality, substance misuse, family system concerns, social determinates impacting care) Age Specific Competencies: Adult, Geriatric, Pediatric
Job Function: 03. Establish short-term treatment goals to promote overall recovery. Clearly explain care goals to medical and nursing team. Collaborate and provide guidance to medical social workers and medical teams regarding psychiatric management and discharge recommendations Competencies: Adult, Geriatric, Pediatric
Job Function: 04. Provides clear, accurate and concise reporting on patient symptoms, presentation, medical concerns, medication and collateral/family report to both psychiatric and medical providers. Actively participates and provides accurate information during clinical supervision.. Age Specific Competencies: Adult, Geriatric, Pediatrics
Job Function: 05. Demonstrates understanding of patient concerns, dynamics, defenses, and maladaptive thinking, attitudes, behaviors, coping styles. Applies appropriate interventions based upon evidenced based, best practices Assesses/monitors patient progress. Job Function: 06. Maintains and completes records in all formats accurately, intelligibly and in required time. All required documentation/forms are present and accurate. Documentation reflects patient treatment objectives and plan of care. Age Specific Competencies: Adult, Geriatric, Pediatrics
Job Function: 07. Complies with Department Business/Administrative requirements. Maintains confidentiality of patient & medical record. Completes schedules, statistics, billing documentation, re-certification information. Maintains accurate & timely record of insurance/managed care data and other such functions in accurate & timely fashion Meets designated productivity standards Participates in outreach and marketing efforts such as public speaking,participating in local community meetings and initiatives Age Specific Competencies: Adult, Geriatric, Pediatrics
Job Function: 08.Demonstrates knowledge and ability of mitigation, intervention and clinical strategies in co-occurring and substance misuse presentations. Collaborate with the Peer Recovery Team regarding assessment, interviewing and treatment planning.
Job Function: 09. Establish treatment links and referrals with medical social workers, psychiatric providers and patients
Master in Counseling Masters in Psychology Master in Social Work LAC/LSW preferred
2 + years experience working in medical or healthcare behavioral health setting.
