SUPV CODING
Position Summary:Supervise the daily operation of the HIM Department Coding Staff. Orient, train, and develop staff to meet proficient competency levels, productivity levels, and quality expectations. Plan, organize, design, implement, and monitor Coder I and/or Coder II coding initiatives to improve coding quality and reimbursement. Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration across all components within the UNM Health Sciences system. Promote correct coding guidelines and coding initiatives, medical record automation, and standardization throughout the enterprise. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and department policies and procedures. No patient care assignment. Accountability:
