We are looking for a Medical Staff Coordinator – Credentialing to handle a wide array of duties involving the credentialing, privileging and performance of our Medical Staff. We will rely on you to:
Coordinate and maintain all aspects of the credentialing process for physicians and advanced practice practitioners
Collect and compile data for provider profiles to analyze practice patterns that determine performance
Maintain an accurate, secure and updated database of provider information
Obtain necessary privileging documentation and clinical activity for establishment and maintenance of competency requirements
Prepare credentialing, privileging and performance evaluation information for review
Assist with focus studies to support Medical Staff quality initiatives and performance improvement activities
Process Medical Staff resignations as needed
Develop, maintain and update Medical Staff website
Qualifications:
3 years of experience in healthcare, paralegal, managed care or credentialing
Strong knowledge of medical staff office administration
Associate’s degree in business or equivalent preferred
CPCS preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and JCAHO, federal and state regulations
High degree of confidentiality and critical decision-making skills
Excellent verbal/written skills, including accurate and concise reporting and presentation skills
Highly organized, detail oriented and able to handle a multitude of tasks
Ability to interface and communicate in an articulate manner with Medical Staff, administrators, legal counsel and hospital personnel
Proficiency in MS Office and credentialing software
