The Director of Physician Practices is responsible for overall management and operations of medical practices of Yavapai Regional Medical Center Physician Care and will oversee the following areas: finance, billing/coding, payer contracting, fee schedule preparation, information systems, human resources, staff supervision and management, patient relations, business expansion, AP/AR, banking, budgeting and general administration.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Clinical or Health Services Administration or related field
Four years of physician practice management experience
Supervisory- or management-level experience in a hospital or medical group setting to include performance management, coaching and staff development
Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, team-building, financial, organizational, business and marketing skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively direct and collaborate with senior leadership and physicians to develop and implement strategic initiatives designed to improve patient care and financial performance of the medical services organization
Knowledge of clinic operations, including physician billing, insurance and managed care
Understanding of state regulations, licensure and certification for front and back office, clinical and administrative positions
Experience with relevant federal and state employment law
Knowledge of physician billing systems, EMR, accounting software and Microsoft Office
