Swedish Health Services, a $2.6 billion healthcare delivery system, is currently seeking a Regional Chief Clinical Officer/System Chief Medical Officer. Reporting to the Swedish Health Services' Chief Executive Officer, the Regional Chief Clinical Officer is responsible for organizing and managing clinical services across the healthcare system, inclusive of inpatient acute services, medical group, ambulatory, free-standing emergency departments, and other healthcare enterprises. The system includes five acute care hospitals, a medical group with nearly 1,000 providers and an array of ambulatory services. The Regional Chief Clinical Officer will serve as an integral part of the executive leadership team and will provide accountability, coordination and rigor to all clinical services across the enterprise. Emphasis will be on creation of a unified approach to clinical services, standardization of care protocols, installation of performance improvement initiatives to achieve superior clinical quality, efficient operations and financial outcomes, and improvement of satisfaction levels for patients, providers, and staff.
Qualified candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution. Board certification is required. A Master's in Health Administration, MBA or other advanced administrative degree is preferred. Candidates must possess a minimum of seven years of experience as a practicing physician plus previous experience as a physician executive leader in a multi-site integrated healthcare delivery system, inclusive of both inpatient and ambulatory services.
