Unique opportunity to serve as the Chief Medical Officer in a holistic behavioral health environment with the flexibility to have your own office hours for patient visits. The hospital provides services to children, adolescents, and adults in an acute care setting. The job duties include:
Collaborates with the VP of Patient Care Services to establish and maintain an overall standard of care.
Ensures and supports the Medical Staff By-Laws, rules, regulations, and medical staff policies.
Participates in risk and process improvement initiatives.
Monitors for new developments and changes in clinical practice to implement new programs that support the patient care, community needs, and provide viability of the organization.
Prescribes appropriate pharma logic or non-pharma logic treatment modalities, establishes an initial diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care.
Support trauma informed care.
Compiles with billing/coding and cooperates with reimbursement and utilization review.
Position reports to President/CEO
Required: Current New York State License, Board Certified in Psychiatry or actively practicing to be able to qualify Board Certification, current DEA registration certificate with US Drug Enforcement Agency

At our Behavioral Health Center in Williamsville, both outpatient mental health treatment for adults and outpatient substance abuse care for adolescents and adults are provided at one convenient location. We offer assessment, individual therapy, group counseling, and other specialized programming options.
