Regional Health, headquartered in Rapid City, South Dakota, announces two exciting physician executive leadership opportunities: Vice President of Medical Services for Rapid City Market and Vice President of Medical Services for Hills market.
As an integrated health care system, Regional Health is comprised of 5 hospitals, 24 clinic locations, and post-acute services in 20 communities and 2 states and employs nearly 5,000 physicians and care givers. Regional Health’s hospitals have national recognition, which includes a distinguished hospital award for Clinical Excellence by Healthgrades and Top 100 Rural Hospitals in America by Becker’s Hospital Review.
Under the leadership of the new Chief Clinical Integration and Medical Officer, Regional Health is enhancing its physician leadership structure to guide and support Regional Health in delivering world-class and accessible care close to home. The Vice President, Medical Services are two newly created positions to provide support for Regional Health’s ambulatory network within their Rapid City and Hills markets. Though each region has its individual priorities, each Vice President, Medical Services will serve as their market’s physician executive with overall operational, financial, quality and service performance for their individual markets, including performance of the physician and provider staff. Serving in a dyad model, the Vice President, Medical Services will contribute to the design, implementation and management of strategy for their respective market, promote effective alignment and relationships with hospital and system goals, and contribute as a member of the physician governance in advancing Regional Health’s delivery and access to care for its patients. The Vice President, Medical Services will maintain a reduced clinical practice.
Successful candidates will have experience in leading a high performing ambulatory network, which includes expertise in strategy, operational and clinical excellence, and physician management. An MD or DO from an accredited medical school and current Board certification are required.
